How the EA freedom score works

Every firm is scored out of 10 on how much room it gives an automated strategy. The score weights five factors — a high score means your bot can run with fewer surprises, not that the firm is "better" overall.

How many strategy styles are prohibited — grid, martingale, copy trading, news EAs. Fewer bans, higher score.

Supervision rules
Whether bots may run unattended. Firms requiring a human at the wheel lose points — that defeats the purpose of automation.

Drawdown mechanics
Static drawdown is bot-friendly and predictable. Intraday trailing drawdown that tracks unrealised profit is the hardest mode for algos.

Platform support
Native MT4/MT5 scores highest for EA compatibility. Proprietary platforms without automation APIs score lowest.

Consistency rules
Payout consistency requirements punish bots with uneven daily returns. No consistency rule, full marks.
